All or Nothing: the Stifani brothers join the Manchester City series crew
Twins Luca and Gabriele Stifani from Neviano worked on the Amazon production following the football season of the 2018 Premier League champions.
English translation of the original Italian article.
Luca and Gabriele Stifani, the two filmmakers from Salento, are among the crew of All or Nothing, the television series about Manchester City’s 2017–18 season, available exclusively from 17 August on Prime Video, Amazon’s on-demand streaming service.
The series follows a format already successfully used for several American NFL teams and New Zealand’s All Blacks. Its strength is direct access, for the first time, behind the scenes: training sessions, meetings, the dressing room and matches seen from the touchline.
The account of City’s most recent season is even more exciting because it ends with victory in the Premier League. The charismatic coach Pep Guardiola stands out in the narrative.
The episodes run for 40 to 50 minutes and are narrated by English director and actor Ben Kingsley. Italian subtitles will be available from 17 September.
The two filmmakers from Neviano are the only Italians on the team. During the long months of filming and editing, they played crucial roles in the success of a documentary that has already attracted considerable acclaim, as well as a curious exchange between two rival figures in world football: Pep Guardiola and José Mourinho.
Luca worked as a sound recordist during training, official Premier League and Champions League matches and the various English cup competitions, recording interviews with the players.
Gabriele held several roles: camera operator during matches, with particular attention to Guardiola, and video-management technician, with specific responsibility for managing the recorded audiovisual material.
